A Note from Mrs. Rowley, our next Principal

Greetings to St. Ambrose students, staff, and families.  I am truly humbled and honored to have been chosen to lead St. Ambrose School.  I know that I will never replace Mrs. Dalmut, but I will do my best to continue the excellent work that she has been doing for seven years.

I thought I would share a little bit about myself. I am originally from Northern Ireland, one of ten children and the product of fourteen years of Catholic education. I graduated from the New University of Ulster with a B.A. In Communication Studies, and after receiving my library certification from the Queen’s University of Belfast, I earned a scholarship to come to the United States for two years and study for my Masters in Library Science at the Catholic University of America. Twenty eight years later I am still here!

I began as librarian at St. Charles School in 2000, and then moved to become the kindergarten teacher.  I was blessed by the “innocent wisdom” of five-year-olds for eight years.  I then became principal of St. Charles School in 2013. Currently I am finishing up my Masters in Administration and Supervision at Marymount University.

I am married with three beautiful daughters, all of whom attended and graduated from St. Charles School and Paul VI High School.  The two youngest are in college and my oldest daughter is spending a year in Ghana doing some mission work in a girls’ Catholic High School.

I am excited to be embarking on this new adventure, and I want to assure you of my dedication and hard work for the students, staff, and families of St. Ambrose School and parish.  I am committed to helping the school continue on its faith-filled path of excellence, and I ask for your prayers, and assure you of mine.

God bless.

Mrs. Angela Rowley
