Mrs. Kate Bennett
My name is Kate Bennett and I am the new third grade teacher here at St. Ambrose. I am very excited and fortunate to be teaching at such a wonderful school. I am married to my wonderful husband Greg, and we currently live in Alexandria.
I was born and raised in Illinois in the suburbs of Chicago. I graduated in 2005 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Go Illini!) and received my B.S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in history and language arts. My past teaching experience includes working as a 4th grade classroom teacher and as the Response to Intervention (RTI) reading specialist for intermediate grades. I have taught in both parochial and public schools.
I am thrilled to be teaching in a Catholic school again. My husband and I attend St. Mary Mother of God parish in DC and our Catholic faith is very important to us. I enjoy listening to classical music, visiting historical sites, spending time with family and our beagle Evie, and fostering my love of interior design through extensive window shopping.
