Mrs. Nell Mulhern

The saying “to teach is to touch tomorrow” so aptly describes what our wonderful first grade teacher, Mrs. Nell Mulhern, does as she guides her young students in the joy of lifelong learning. Mrs. Mulhern is the proud mother of three children, ages 31, 30, and 26, and her spare time is spent enjoying her seven year old grandson. She has traveled throughout the United States, has lived in Germany, Israel, and Jordan, and this summer, she traveled to Ireland.

Mrs. Mulhern loves teaching and especially enjoys the energy and creativity of her first graders. She also spends quiet time reading and quilting, and enjoys traveling when the opportunity presents itself. Saint Ambrose Catholic School is so blessed to have Mrs. Mulhern on the faculty. Her calm, gentle manner is appreciated by all of us.

In 2012, Mrs. Mulhern was chosen as one of five Distinguished Teachers of the Year by the Diocese of Arlington.  See the article, “Catholic School Teachers, Students Honored” in the March 28th Arlington Catholic Herald
