Mr. Ryan Hechinger

My name is Ryan Hechinger. I grew In Alexandria, VA, attended Catholic school, and enjoyed playing competitive basketball, soccer and, particularly, high school varsity lacrosse. I graduated from Christendom College in 2008 with my bachelors in history and am about to complete my masters in theology at Notre Dame Graduate School. My wife and I and our two daughters and newborn son currently live in White Post, VA.
I have been teaching elementary school in the Arlington Diocese for the past two years in addition to my previous volunteer work in youth ministry and C.C.D. I value being a teacher in a Catholic school because I think it’s important for children to experience their faith as an integral and formative part of their education and the Catholic school environment makes this possible. I’m looking forward to the opportunity of getting to know and contribute to the development of each and every one of my students.
With my experience of playing and coaching sports and my love for the faith I hope to be an asset to St. Ambrose School, not just in the spiritual and academic formation of the students but also their physical education. I look forward to a great school year.
