Mrs. Gerri Maskelony

My name is Gerri Maskelony and I am the band director at St. Ambrose. I offer instruction and performance opportunities in flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, baritone and percussion.   Joining the band is a great way to develop confidence and camaraderie — plus it builds a skill that gives a lifetime of enjoyment!  I look forward to getting to know your children and you and to becoming part of the St. Ambrose school community.

Prior to joining the faculty at St. Ambrose, I taught at St. James in Falls Church and for Fairfax County Public Schools.  I hold a master’s degree and am licensed in Virginia to teach band, orchestra and general music. In addition, I am fully certified in Orff Schulwerk, an approach to teaching music and movement to children.
