Happy Thanksgiving!

Dear Parents:

What a lot I have to be thankful for.   Last night we witnessed with joy and pride the Confirmation of our 8th grade students with Bishop Paul Loverde.  We also found out that this was his last Confirmation ceremony as Bishop of Arlington.  What an historic moment! Today I had lunch outside with the 8th grade class (yes, we braved the elements!) and had great conversation.  I am grateful to all of our students for their curiosity, willingness to learn, and just for their smiling faces – and the occasional hug!

I am grateful for an amazing faculty and staff, for their support, flexibility, and the expertise and creativity they bring to their instruction.  I am grateful for our priests, their weekly school Masses, weekly classroom visits, their presence at all of our school events and their consistent support. I am grateful to all of our parish staff for their cooperation, community, and willingness to promote our school. I am grateful to all of you, our wonderful parents, for your volunteering, your support and, most of all, for entrusting your most precious treasures to our care.  We take that responsibility very seriously.

As we take a few days off to enjoy family and food in this season of Thanksgiving, I am grateful to our Almighty Father for the many blessings that He has bestowed upon me.  I will pray for you and ask you in return to pray for me.  Thank you one and all for your presence in my life.

Sincerely,

Angela Rowley
