Principal’s Post – September 25

Porp Francis waving from popemobileWhat a blessing it was this week to attend the Mass celebrated by His Holiness, Pope Francis at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.. The day was beautiful, the ceremony unforgettable and His Holiness was such an inspiration.  I prayed for all of our St. Ambrose families while I was there.   Truly, the Spirit was present.  I took this picture before the Mass.

Let us keep him in our prayers as he travels to New York and Philadelphia.

We are getting ready to launch our fundraisers/events for the year.  Please consider volunteering for one or more of them.  Not only does it benefit our ability to provide more services for our students, it also sends you child a clear message: school is important and their education is worth you giving of your time.  Let us build community together!  More information about our events will be sent out soon, but do plan to join us for our annual Oktoberfest on October 3 at 6:00 pm. Tickets will be available after Masses this weekend.

Regarding morning carpool: please make sure that when you pull into the church parking lot that you form two lines to avoid back-up onto Woodburn Road.  In addition, when you pull up to the curb, please have your children ready to disembark and move out as quickly as possible.  Our patrols and teachers are there to help with this.  Please do not get out of your car to unload backpacks – our patrols are at your service!  Thank you for your cooperation.
