Update from Mrs. Dalmut – May 11: First Holy Communion, Shakespeare Festival, “Shakespeare on Demand,” upcoming events

Dear Parents,

Saturday was a beautiful sacramental celebration! Our 2nd graders received their First Holy Communion, and the church was packed! Thank you to all who helped with the reception. Their families appreciated an opportunity to celebrate together. It is always a blessing to have so much joy in one room!

This morning I had the privilege of seeing the Dress Rehearsal for the Shakespeare Festival. Our 8th graders did a great job on the PVI stage. It is always amazing to see how well they perform, and how well they work together as a troupe. Congratulations to Mrs. Greshock for her direction of the play. The school will have a chance to see their performance on Wednesday May 27 at 2:00. Their parents and faculty will be invited to a special private dinner prior to a public performance on Thursday evening, May 28. You are welcome to attend the performance that evening. I will send a reminder!

This Thursday evening, we have a very special Shakespeare presentation. Knighthorse Theater Company will be presenting “Shakespeare on Demand”  at 7pm in the Parish Hall. You’ll have a chance to request scenes from your favorite Shakespeare play. Two years ago, they performed Hamlet — a one-man performance that was absolutely mesmerizing. One actor played all the roles, and was eloquent. He has a very special gift!  Knighthorse Theater Company will perform for the students on Wednesday afternoon (May 13). I am sure your children will be asking you to bring them back on Thursday night! See the flyer in Wednesday’s folder.
