Update from Mrs. Dalmut – Oct. 27, 2014
Posted on October 27, 2014
Dear Parents,
Tonight is a very special evening for our 8th graders. They will receive the sacrament of Confirmation at 7:30pm. Please say a prayer for them on this special occasion.
This is a reminder that Friday, October 31 is a Professional Development Day for our teachers, so there will be no school for students. We will celebrate All Saints Day on Thursday at our school Mass. Our 2nd graders will be a little more angelic than usual in their Saints costumes!
Our STEM committee was able to procure a grant for a robotics program. I can’t believe there are still openings in this fabulous program! Here is the explanation from Krista Gauthier:
We still have spots available for students in Grades 5-8 for our SeaPerch Program starting in January! SeaPerch is a program conducted by the Office of Naval Research in which our students get to build underwater remote controlled robots. We are doing this project in our STEM Club. Meetings will be every other Friday starting January 9th and will run until the beginning of May. If you are interested, please visit our sign ups page at http://stambroseschool.org/activities/sign-ups/ and sign up using your name under STEM Club/SeaPerch. Then, you will need to submit a signed safety contract which went home in Wednesday folders along with $25 for dues to the office. If you do not have a copy of the contract or if you have any questions, please contact Krista at development@stambroseschool.org.
Finally, Parent-Teacher conferences will be held Monday, Nov. 10 and Tuesday, Nov. 11. There will be no school for students on those days. I am putting the final touches on the schedule, and will post the link to the signup pages on our school website. I will send an email letting you know when you can start signing up for your conferences.
God bless,
Barbara Dalmut
