Update from Mrs. Dalmut – Pumpkin Run postponed/cafeteria & playground employees needed

Dear Parents,

I usually hate to postpone events, but we are going to postpone the Pumpkin Run. The weather forecast for tomorrow is for 100% chance of heavy thunderstorms, with 1-2 inches of rain. Friday’s weather is sunny with 71 degree temperature, and only 10% chance of rain! The trainer who does fun games with the kids will be available on Friday, so we will adjust and plan on Friday from 1:30-3:00. I am sorry for those who have planned to take off work. I hope you can adjust your schedules so that you can join us! Please keep those pledges coming! The teachers are planning to run or walk, and are making pledges to support the Fun Run too! Students should wear their PE uniforms on Friday. They may wear their PE shirt or any St. Ambrose shirt — spirit wear, track team shirts, choir shirts, band shirts, etc. It will be warm enough for PE shorts!

We are currently looking for additional employees for the cafeteria and playground. If you would like to work in either location on a regular basis, or as an occasional substitute, please contact Clare Stalnaker at Cafeteria@stambroseschool.org. Please refer all your questions to her. Both the lunchroom and playground are very important places to work — our “regulars” are able to help anticipate problems before they arise, and keep things moving efficiently. If you ask the children, they will tell you that those are the most important 45 minutes of each day! Thank you!
