Welcome back!

Dear Parents:
What a busy week we have had here at school preparing for the return of our students. I am so grateful to the wonderful faculty and staff for their dedication and for creating a warm, loving environment in which to educate your children. I am also grateful for the warm welcome and support of those families I have already had the pleasure to meet.
We are delighted to welcome new staff members:
Mrs. Bridget McCormack – 5th grade
Mr. Michael Thieman -7th-8th Science, 2nd-8th Computer, 6th-8th Health.
Ms. Kate Lindquist – PK-8th Art, K-5th Health, 7th Pre-Algebra
Christina Lebron – 1st-8th Music
Colleen Nevius – 8th Algebra
Mrs. Trish Konczal – Registrar/Administrative Assistant
Mrs. Maureen Earner – Health Clinic
There have also been a few staff changes:
Mrs. Ida Smith is Office Manager; Mrs. Julie Rubio is Cafeteria Manager; Mrs. Marybeth Cuccias is adding PK and K Music to her duties.
A few house-keeping things for next week:
The following grades have PE on Monday and should wear PE uniforms – K, 1st, 3rd, 7th.
There will be no hot lunches served next week – all students should bring a packed lunch from home (this includes Extended Day). The new menu will go home on Monday and will also be posted on our website.
All forms must be turned in before your child can come to school. If you are not sure, please check with the office.
Clarification: we will not be having a new parent orientation tonight. But please come to the ice-cream social on Monday at 6:30pm. We are grateful to the PTO for hosting this and the Knights of Columbus for sponsoring it. And don’t forget the picnic this Saturday at 2:30pm!
We are in need of some workers for our cafeteria program and playground duty. These are paid positions. If you can schedule a regular day or days for either, please email Julie Rubio at jrubio@stambroseschool.org and let her know. We will need three cafeteria and two playground people per day.
So, please enjoy your weekend with your children. I am really looking forward to getting to know them, and meeting all of you.
God bless.
Mrs. Angela Rowley
