Friday message Sept. 21

Dear Parents:
We have had a busy week with Scantron testing, professional development and dealing with the weather. Hopefully we are in for some brighter days next week.

Several events are in the planning stages and I encourage you to get involved. There was a kick-off gala meeting and we are headed in a great direction with that. It is going to be a great, fun event.

Our wine tasting evening is coming up and that will be a great gathering.

With all of these events we encourage our room parents to help promote these to the parents in their class. I am very grateful to those who have stepped up to be room parents. We do still have some gaps in the following grades:

    • PK-3 – 1 needed
    • 1st grade – 2 needed
    • 7th grade – 1 needed

Please consider volunteering if your child is in one of these grades. Room parents automatically have all of their service hours for the year honored! All of our volunteer positions are listed on the website, as is the volunteer hours tracker. Please be sure to clock your hours once you have given some time!

We noticed that many students going to Extended Day today came without lunch. If your child is going to Extended day on a half day they must bring a lunch or order pizza. As a reminder, we will now send out email and text reminders the day before for such non-emergency events.
I hope you have a blessed weekend.
