Busy Week

Dear St. Ambrose Parents,
There is a lot going on at St. Ambrose this week. We are excited as a school community to welcome Bishop Burbidge on Friday but I also want to remind you of other things going on and a change in the schedule.

Ice cream will be sold tomorrow instead of Wednesday as Mrs. Rhodes will not be here on Wednesday.

Wednesday is Turkey Trot Day! Our students will be running in the back of the school from 1:00 until 3 PM. All students may wear their PE uniforms and spirit wear shirts and sweatshirts to school on Wednesday. Nearly two-thirds of our goal of $10,000 dollars has been raised for this PTO fundraiser. Please consider donating or asking family and friends to donate as we approach the donation deadline tomorrow.

Thursday we will be holding an “Open House” at the school from 8:00 – 3 PM for prospective families that are interested in learning more about St. Ambrose Catholic School or enrolling their children this year and/or next year. Guided tours of the classrooms and school will be given to allow families to meet our students, faculty, and staff. Please share this information with your friends and neighbors and encourage them to visit the “Small School with a Big Heart”.

We will dismiss at 11:30 on Friday as it is Bishop Burbidge’s custom to eat lunch with all of the school and parish staff members when he visits a school. Please note that we will not have extended day on Friday after school. Bishop Burbidge will celebrate Mass at 9:00 AM followed by a blessing of our new parking lot. Bishop will proceed to visit every classroom to meet and talk to the children. We will be combining classrooms to maximize Bishop Burbidge’s time with the children. If you are able, please join us for the Mass and the blessing of the parking lot on Friday!
God bless,
George Elliott
