Family Update – Turkey Trot and other information

TURKEY TROT – As you may have heard by now, the Turkey Trot was held Wednesday morning after the power outage. Based on information from the power company, the decision was made to send students home due to the estimated duration of the outage and heat/power concerns. We did not have the option of moving the Trot to another day due to other events already scheduled. Students that were picked up before their turn to trot will get to participate in a makeup run on Friday.
Although it didn’t go as planned, this event has been a SUCCESS in that the kids had a great time, had a wild morning and a bonus half day off, and it has been a great fundraiser for our school.
