Friday happenings – October 25; Halloween Dress Down Day
Posted on October 25, 2019
Dear Parents,
The school community will not be attending Mass on Thursday the 31st. However, we will attend Mass on All Saints Day on Friday November 1st. Our second grade students will dress up as Saints on this day continuing a St. Ambrose tradition. Please join us for Mass and the “Saints on Parade”.
The 8th grade Leadership Team is sponsoring a Dress Down Day for all students K-8 on Thursday, October 31st. Students may wear wacky socks and dress in Halloween colors: orange, black, purple, green. No costumes should be worn but Halloween T-shirts in good taste are acceptable. (No weapons, bloody scenes etc.) Anyone who would like to participate in the Dress down day should bring $1.00 or more to donate to TEACH, an outreach program supporting education in rural Guatemala. You can learn more at www.teacham.org. Saint Ambrose Middle School students participate in a Spanish letter-writing exchange with the students supported by TEACH in Guatemala. Sra. Cummins will be explaining this to her Spanish classes in the coming days. Thank you for your support!
Have a great weekend!
