Happy Thanksgiving!

Dear Parents:

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is upon us? I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for your ongoing support with all that we do here at St. Ambrose School.

Last week we enjoyed a wonderful assembly, with the visit of Pinot and Augustine. The presentation was followed by a workshop for the middle school. A great time was had, and some very useful acting tips!

We have a few ongoing service projects. We are continuing to collect winter wear for those in need. If you have any new or gently used items, we have collection boxes in the school foyer. Additionally, we are participating in Santa’s Ride again this year. We are collecting new, unwrapped toys, which will be picked up by Fairfax County Police and distributed to children who are hospitalized over Christmas. If you are out Christmas shopping this week, please consider picking up an extra toy. Boxes are in the school foyer. This will run through December 10, when the toys will be picked up. I have heard that we may even get a visit from Santa himself sometime that week!

Our Christmas concert will be held on December 12 at 6:30 pm. More information on attire, etc. will follow.

Our school choir is honored to be participants in a special Christmas morning Mass. It will be celebrated by Archbishop Broglio on December 5 and will be recorded and then televised on Christmas morning. See flier for more information. All are invited to attend. Christmas TV Mass Flier

The week after Thanksgiving is going to be busy with our Turkey Trot, Discovery Toys sale, and 8th grade Confirmation. And the Three Kings store is just around the corner! Thank you to all who have worked to get everything in place. A special “thank you” to Mary Helou for her incredible organizing of these events.

Finally, I wish you and your families a peaceful, blessed Thanksgiving. Be safe, enjoy the company you will be with and know that we at St. Ambrose School are grateful for each one of you.

God bless.
