Important: Car Pool Changes

Dear Parents:

As of Monday, March 4,  the construction company will begin moving equipment into our property. As a result we have to change how we do carpool. Please note the changes below:

MORNING CARPOOL –

  • All cars must turn right on entering the property and drive around by the parish hall.
  • Cars should form two lines in front of the church.
  • The pavement between the school and the island (median) will no longer be available for drop-off as a fence will block one end to through traffic.
  • Cars should form a line in the parking lot on the other side of the island (the lane will be designated with cones). We will have patrols and teachers on the island to open car doors as usual.
  • Cars will exit in a line as normal. Both exits will be available.
  • Cars may not cut out of the line to go around those in front. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE.
  • If you need to come into school please drop your child off in the carpool line and then park by the church or parish hall. The parking lot in front of the school will not be available for parking during the school day to allow for recess and afternoon carpool.

AFTERNOON CARPOOL –

  • All cars must turn right on entering the property and drive around by the parish hall.
  • Cars should form two lines in front of the church.
  • Once cars enter the parking lot they should pull up facing Woodburn Road beginning with the lane closest to the old rectory. Cones will be placed to designate each lane. Cars should form straight lines perpendicular to the school. Staff will be on hand to direct and indicate the order of exiting. Both exits will be available. NOTE: all car engines should be turned off until the whistle blows for departure.
  • Just a reminder, parents may not park in the church parking lot and walk their children to their car.

This process is based on the latest information that we have, and subject to change should we receive new information. We appreciate your patience, understanding and cooperation as we implement these changes.

God bless.
