Learning at home – 7th Grade
Mrs. Alexis Greshock, 7th Grade Homeroom Teacher
In Social Studies, seventh graders are studying how a bill becomes a law. Ms. McGinley created a teaching video so the students could learn the bill making process. The video was followed by a 2-part project:.
- Part I: students brainstorm bill ideas (“How to Make St. Ambrose a better place”): Student Bill Proposal Brainstorm Map
- Part II: students work in “committees” to write a bill proposal: Student Committee Bill Proposal
In Language Arts, Mrs. Greshock created a teaching video about how to write a second rough draft for the students’ research paper.
In 7th grade Literature, students have completed a Graphic Essay on the book, The Outsiders
In Science, Mr. Cao and the 7th grade students studied animal behavior and adaptation after they learned about “natural selection”. Each student presented research on an animal of their choice. See the Animal Adventurer Assignment Instructions posted in Google Classroom, and a sample student video presentation in Zoom.
