Primary Grades

I am excited to begin my first year at St. Ambrose as the Kindergarten Teacher. I have a true passion for working with our youngest learners.  I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive and fun environment.

I was born and raised in Costa Rica. Then, I moved to the United States when I was 7 years old. I attended a dual immersion elementary school in Arlington Va.  I graduated in 2018 from Sweet Briar College with a Bachelor Degree in Spanish. I worked as a teacher assistant at the dual immersion elementary school. After graduating from college, I worked at a social service agency. I conducted home visits to Hispanic families across Northern Virginia. I support many families and their children with their developmental milestones. In 2021, I graduated from George Mason University with a M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction with Diverse Learners. Last year I was the Spanish Teacher at Saint Patrick Catholic School within the Diocese of Arlington. I was teaching Spanish from Kindergarten to 5th grade.

I also enjoy listening to music, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with friends and family.

I am looking forward to fostering a faith filled and academic classroom environment this school year.

I am excited to begin my third year as the first-grade teacher at St. Ambrose! It is a joy to teach children and help them grow academically and in their faith.

I was born and raised in Northern Virginia, attending St. Bernadette Catholic School and Fairfax County Public Schools. Growing up, I was involved in dance, gymnastics, basketball, soccer, and cheerleading. I also learned how to play the flute.

I graduated in 2014 from Lynchburg College, now the University of Lynchburg, with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Teacher Education in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education. In 2017, I graduated from Liberty University with an M.Ed. in teaching and learning with a cognate in Special Education. Apart from my B.S. and M.Ed., I also hold a Graduate Certificate in Autism Education from Liberty University, a Career Studies Certificate in American Sign Language from Nova, and a Graduate Certificate in School Leadership.

This summer, I attended the TWIN CS- Academy. At the academy, I gained knowledge of the dual language program.

I am really excited to implement the dual language program.

My name is Lovancy Ingram and I’m happy to join St. Ambrose as the new second grade teacher! A native Washingtonian, I attended Catholic school for several years at Sacred Heart School and Archbishop Carroll High School. I completed my undergraduate degree at Washington and Lee University, majoring in Journalism / Mass Communications and Music. I also earned a graduate degree from Teachers College, Columbia University in Music Education.

Before coming to St. Ambrose, I taught first grade and worked as an instructional assistant for kindergarten and first grade at Our Lady of Victory School. I’ve also had the privilege of teaching middle school at my alma mater, Sacred Heart. In addition, I’ve enjoyed teaching a number of instrumental music lessons over the years.

This summer I had the pleasure of learning alongside colleagues during Orton Gillingham (OG) training. There were also other opportunities to be crafty, make music, and try new cooking projects. I look forward to sharing these interests and my love of learning with many new faces at St. Ambrose.

As most of you know, I’m Priscilla Hogan, and I have been at St. Ambrose Catholic School since 2002 in many different capacities. For the past fourteen years I have been the Kindergarten Aide. What a joy it has been! The kindergarteners are such fun to be with every day. They just make you feel so special and loved. After all the grades I have been in, I believe I have found my niche. I love when the kinder kids ask me if I am coming to First Grade with them and I tell them I never graduate Kindergarten!

I have been married for 36 years to my wonderful husband Tim. I have three sons that live in this area and two beautiful granddaughters. I am enjoying being a grandmother to two girls after having three sons! St. Ambrose School is a wonderful place to work and for children to learn; I feel very lucky to be here. We are truly a family and help each other in so many ways.

Maayong adlaw! (Good day in Filipino/Cebuano). I first joined St. Ambrose a few years ago as a kindergarten parent. This year, I will be a parent to a 7th and a 4th grade student! I feel blessed to be part of my children’s transformation in this wonderful community.  I have a degree in Fine Arts major in interior Design, and for many years worked in the furniture industry. I then became a 2nd grade homeroom teacher, then taught Art to 1st through 6th grade. I’m a member of the Artists’ Undertaking Gallery in Historic Occoquan, and have recently partnered with a bamboo exporter from the Philippines, developing a US-based furniture line (very exciting!).  I’m always happy to share my talent and skills to the school, and I’m dedicated to helping teachers, parents and students have the best possible experience at St. Ambrose.
