Mrs. Kay Carlson

Maayong adlaw! (Good day in Filipino/Cebuano). I first joined St. Ambrose a few years ago as a kindergarten parent. This year, I will be a parent to a 8th and a 5th grade student! I feel blessed to be part of my children’s transformation in this wonderful community.  I have a degree in Fine Arts major in interior Design, and for many years worked in the furniture industry. I then became a 2nd grade homeroom teacher, then taught Art to 1st through 6th grade. I’m a member of the Artists’ Undertaking Gallery in Historic Occoquan, and have recently partnered with a bamboo exporter from the Philippines, developing a US-based furniture line (very exciting!).  I’m always happy to share my talent and skills to the school, and I’m dedicated to helping teachers, parents and students have the best possible experience at St. Ambrose.
