Our annual Gala will take place on Saturday, March 3 beginning at 6:00pm in the Parish Center

The gala is less than two weeks away! You must get your tickets to enjoy a night of fellowship, fundraising, and fun at the Gala. Have you gotten yours yet? The price is $60 per ticket now. We still need more desserts for the dessert auction! Please send an email to gala@stambroseschool.org and let us know what scrumptious dessert you will be making! Or, if you prefer, send in the dessert auction flier.
The 50/50 Raffle pot is around $2000! It can continue to grow into a HUGE amount if you return those raffle tickets. Remember, you don’t have to be present to win! It’s a win-win situation for you and the school. With less than 2 weeks left, let’s see how fast the pot can grow! Sell those tickets and turn them in. If you need more tickets, send an email to gala@stambroseschool.org.
Gala FAQ Reminders: If you’re still considering whether to attend this year’s Gala, we wanted to highlight a few FAQs that may help you decide to join us:
- This is not a “couples only” or “St. Ambrose only” event. Consider grabbing a neighbor to come along or join up with some fellow parents and get a table together. You can also consider sharing childcare with other families – your kids will have a fun evening and so will you!
- Come dressed in whatever makes you feel comfortable. People will generally be dressed in “casual elegance”, but some will be decked out in cocktail dresses while others may be wearing their nicest jeans.
- Consider coming even if you can’t stay for the whole event. You don’t want to miss entertainment by McGrath Academy of Irish Dance at the beginning of the evening. The silent auction and raffles will be open from approximately 6-8pm. The live auction will be from about 8:15-9:30pm with the raffle winners announced at the end. You do not need to be present to win the raffles.
This night is all about our kids. We get to have a fun evening and win some great prizes, but more importantly, we are raising much needed money for our wonderful school. We look forward to seeing you there!

From the Gala Chair: It is my honor to invite you to join me for “A Lucky Knight for St. Ambrose” at the annual Gala auction night on March 3rd at 6pm in the Parish Center. It will be an Irish themed evening of fellowship, food and entertainment. You can show your support for our wonderful school by bidding on great silent or live auction items. The Gala is the largest fundraiser for our school, generally bringing in around $40,000 for our PTO. This money contributes to our teacher appreciation program, field trips, items for our classrooms, and upgrades to the school. This is a must attend event and I look forward to seeing you there!

What Can I Expect at the Gala?
The night will start off by mingling with friends as you bid on silent auction and dessert auction items and try your hand at our gift card grab bag and raffles. Food and beverages will be available, and we will be entertained by a performance of talented Irish dancers. There will be a formal end to the silent and dessert auctions and people will be asked to take a seat at their tables for the live auction while they enjoy their dessert auction winnings. Following the live auction, people can linger and relax before collecting their auction winnings to close out the night.
Irish Entertainment
We will be treated to a performance by a group from the award-winning school, McGrath School of Irish Dance. St. Ambrose students, Sophia and Reilly Savage, will be among the performers. They have traveled to Ireland, England and Scotland to compete, winning awards at all. They recently just qualified for “Worlds”, which less than 1% of Irish dancers accomplish. You don’t want to miss this exceptional performance!
What Should I Wear to the Gala?
Dress in whatever makes you comfortable. The atmosphere usually conveys a casual elegance and many people relish the opportunity to dress up, but if jeans are the most comfortable clothing for you, then feel free to wear them. The evening should be relaxed and fun!
Ticket Sales
Early bird ticket sales are under way now. Click on this link for ways to purchase tickets. Prices will go up on January 22nd and again on February 19th.
50/50 Raffle
We will once again have the 50/50 raffle where the winner takes home half the pot while the other half supports the school. Tickets are $10 each or 6 tickets for $50 and the winner does not need to be present. I am asking all our students to help sell tickets and the top student seller will receive a prize. Look out for tickets to come home in the Wednesday folder.
Dessert Auction
Calling all bakers! Fire up those ovens to once again provide your delicious treats for our dessert auction at the Gala. Please use the form at the attached link to confirm your dessert donation. Return forms to the office or email dessert donation information to gala@stambroseschool.org.
