Principal Search

November 18, 2019

Dear Parents and Members of the St. Ambrose School Community,

I am happy to share the good news that Mr. George Elliott has accepted my offer to complete the current school year as Interim Principal. We are grateful for his commitment to Saint Ambrose School.

Diocesan Policy requires us to conduct a search to identify a principal for the 2020-2021 school year. Therefore, I have established a search committee to facilitate this process. The committee has convened and is ready to begin the process with the goal of moving forward a recommendation to me by January 31, 2020.

The Search Committee is as follows : Mrs. Therese Ryan (Chairperson, Parish Youth Minister, and parent of a 2011 Alumni), Mrs. Carla Yaglou (Parish Business Manger and parent of a 2015 Alumni), Mr. Robert Mead (member of the Parish Council), Mrs. Alexis Greshock (School Faculty / 7th Grade Teacher), Mr. Philip Coady (President of the School PTO, parent of four school students, and parent of a 2019 alumni), Mrs. Katheryn Krueger (parent of four school students and teacher at Georgetown Visitation High School), and Sister Karl Ann Homberg S.S.J, M.Ed. (Assistant Superintendent for Catholic Leadership in the Diocesan Office of Catholic Schools). I am very grateful for their service.

I thank you for your response to the School Survey conducted earlier this fall. The search committee and I are using the information gathered from the survey as we seek the candidate who will best meet the current needs of our school and provide strong leadership in the future.

As the process moves forward, I will have the search committee provide updates to me that I hope to share with you. I ask your prayers for the success of this process to ensure a quality Catholic education program for our students for years to come.

Sincerely Yours in Christ,

Reverend Andrew J. Fisher

Pastor
