Extended Day Program
The Extended Day Registration Form must be completed by every family using the Extended Day program.
Licensed Child Day Center
Our Extended Day Program is run Players Sport Academy. All employees are fingerprinted, have completed a background check, and are CPR certified.
Hours of Operation:
- 7 am-8 am Monday through Friday
- 3:10 pm-6 pm Monday through Friday
*We are closed on days that students are not in session
*We are open on almost all half days and early release days except for field day, 8th-grade graduation, and the last day of school. Please always double check the school calendar to verify.
*We will have Extended Day on days when there is a snow delay. It will always start 1 hour before school
Fees:
- $10 per hour (if signed up for monthly rates)
- $12 per hour drop-in rate
Late fees: There will be a charge of $10 for every 15 minutes a parent is late for pick up. Extended Day staff will be tracking the hours that each child is attending the program and providing feedback to families regarding their usage. If any refunds or additional invoicing needs to be provided, we will be more than happy to accommodate.
Billing:
Option 1 – 20 hours per month (Monday-Friday from 3:00-4:00pm or 6:50-7:50am = $200
Option 2 – 40 hours per month (Monday-Friday from 3:00-5:00pm) = $400
Option 3 – 60 hours per month (Monday-Friday from 3:00-6:00pm) = $600
Option 4 – 80 hours per month (Monday-Friday from 6:50-7:50am and 3:00-6:00pm) = $800
A one-time fee of $25 will be assessed for online registration. The initial monthly payments will be associated with the hours beginning in September, and any Extended Day hours from August 23-31 will be invoiced to parents in a prorated manner.
** If your expected Extended Day hours differ from the selection above, please select the option that closest reflects your Extended Day hour usage and be sure to input the specific days and hours in the registration form so that staff members are aware.
Daily Schedule:
3:10-3:30 Homework time while carpool is going on
3:30-4:00 Playtime
4:00-4:15 Snack (provided by PSA)
4:15-6:00 Playtime
*students will have access to tables to do homework during Playtime if they choose not to play
*playtime will take place indoors as well as outdoors depending on weather and interest
Expectations of Student Behavior
The Extended Day program is an extension of St. Ambrose School, and therefore all the policies found in the school handbook apply to students while in Extended Day.
St. Ambrose School is excited to provide this service to you this year and look forward to hearing the sounds of joy-filled play coming from the gymnasium after school!
