Reminders: Back to School night, parent info/directory, morning drop off, helping Houston
Posted on September 5, 2017
Welcome to week 2! Please mark your calendars for Back To School Night next Wednesday, September 13. The meeting times are as follows:
- 6:30-7:30 = Kindergarten-Grade 5 parents (2 sessions)
- 7:00-7:30 = Preschool
- 7:30-8:00 = PTO meeting in gym
- 8:00-8:30 = Grades 6-8 parents in homerooms
- 8:30-9:00 = MS teachers (including Specials) circulate, introduce themselves & then are available to parents
Emergency information: we are in the process of creating our school directory. As we compile it based on the information in PowerSchool, I ask you to look at the information and update it through the Parent Portal as soon as possible. This is especially true if you have had a change of address or phone number in the last year. Also, if you do NOT was to be included in the directory, please let Trish Konczal know at email@example.com.
A few reminders about morning drop off: as we get back into the routine, or are learning it for the first time, please note: when dropping off your students in the morning please form a double line in front of the church to feed into a single line in front of the school. Please pull up as far as you can to drop your students off. All students should leave their cars on the school side for safety. Cars must wait until the line of traffic is moving: pulling out of the car-line around other cars is not permitted.
Finally, as our thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims of Hurricane Harvey, we as a school will also do something tangible. This Friday will be a dress down day. Students may wear yellow (for Texas). Minimum donation is $1, but we will take whatever you wish to offer. If you wish to have your child participate, please send the money in some time this week. I have contacted a Catholic school in Houston to see if they are in need. If I do not hear back we will go through Catholic Charities. Thank you.
Enjoy the rest of your week and we look forward to seeing you at Back to School Night.
