St. Ambrose Track and Field

Hello Wonderful Parents,
It is the time of the year again where we begin CYO sports. Maryellen DeWolfe and I are the coaches for track & field and cross country. We would like to invite your children to join the team for some conditioning, competition and fun.
Practices will begin on September 5th, are held on Tuesdays and Fridays starting directly after school and run until 4:30pm. The workouts may be challenging initially, but if your child enjoys a challenge, he / she will excel.
Based on the early meet schedule, we are requesting you complete manual forms which are found at permission slip and medical information form. When completing the forms, we request you also include any phone numbers or email addresses you feel may be helpful for contacting you with additional information as it becomes available. As a reminder, the registration fee is $30 for the first child and $25 for each additional child. Please make your payments at the front office. Feel free to contact us should you require additional information.
There is a single official track meet which is held on the weekend of September 30th at Bishop O’Connell High School (Saturday for some grades, Sunday for others) and includes most of the Arlington Diocese elementary and junior high schools.
Cross Country consists of two developmental meets on; September 23rd, 8:00 a.m. (Fort Hunt Park, Alexandria, VA) and October 21st 9:00 a.m. (Laurel Hill Park, Lorton, VA) along with a championship meet on November 5th 1:00 p.m. (Burke Lake Park, Fairfax, VA).
