Update – Friday, Jan. 25

Dear Parents:

There is a lot of information contained in this email, so I ask you please to read to the end. Thank you!

Catholic Schools Week: Sunday launches the annual Catholic Schools Week. This is a time to celebrate with Catholic schools all across the country. We have some special events planned. Tuesday is Student Appreciation Day and the students can dress down. Spirit wear is encouraged. They will also receive an ice-cream treat at lunch time. Wednesday is Teacher/Staff Appreciation Day. It is also an early dismissal day (11:30 am). Friday is Family Appreciation Day. We invite parents, grandparents and siblings to join their children for lunch. Extra tables will be set up. Please let us know if you will be attending by going to the following link and fill in the form: https://goo.gl/forms/DS1FL8ajbUw4bxco1

The National Catholic Education Association and FACTS Management Company have joined together to offer Catholic schools the opportunity to receive donations. We have set up a web page and donors can go to this and make a donation. The time frame is January 29, 12:00 pm through January 30, 12:00 pm. Please share this link and offer everyone the chance to donate to our wonderful school: https://stambroseschool.giving.factsmgt.com./ These donations are tax deductible. The link is also posted on the school website.

Our open houses next week are Sunday, January 27 from 11:00 am-1:00 pm. Thank you to those who have volunteered to be tour guides. Any student who wears their uniform to Mass this weekend will earn a dress down day later in the trimester.

Volunteering: As you know we now require 15 hours of volunteering per family for the year. Thank you to those who have already completed or almost completed their hours. However, many families have not committed at this time. As the year goes on, there will be fewer opportunities to get those hours in. Therefore I urge you to consider volunteering in the next couple of months. The GALA is the perfect opportunity to get these hours out of the way, and there are many needs for the GALA. Please see the email that went out earlier this week from Mrs. Driscoll and sign up  to help with this important fundraiser.

Re-registration: In the  Wednesday folder this week was the re-registration form for the 2019/2020 school year. The due date for return is March 1, after which the fee will rise from $50 per returning student to $100. We ask that you return this form as soon as possible to allow us to plan for the coming school year. With our Open Houses on Sunday and Wednesday and we anticipate an enthusiastic response. We already have a wait-list for 4th grade next year. In addition, please note that the re-registration fee will be billed to your FACTS account, as opposed to you returning the form with a check.  If you have already done so, you will still be billed in FACTS and the check will be applied manually.  Please do not return a check with your registration.  We are working towards all tuition, academic and extracurricular activity fees being billed through FACTS.

Taco Dinner and Movie Night: The Knights of Columbus and the parish Youth Ministry are hosting a Taco and Movie Night. Please see the flier for information and plan to join us!

Finally, have a wonderful and restful weekend. I will be speaking at all of the Masses this weekend, so I will see you there!

God bless.
