Some updates – February 12

Dear Parents:
Please note for this week: we will have Mass on Wednesday (Ash Wednesday) instead of Thursday. If your child has PE that day, please send them in dress uniform. Optionally, they can bring PE uniform to change into for the afternoon. Please plan on joining us if you can. Friday is an early dismissal day. We will be welcoming the Chair of our accreditation visiting team for a meeting on that day. Your student may wear their gala t-shirt (if they have one) on Friday. The remainder of the Fridays in Lent we will only serve cheese pizza at lunch, not pepperoni.

Later this week we will be doing a test of the emergency notification system. This will only be a test. This will be by email, phone and text (if you have opted in). If you notice a missed call from the school, please DO NOT call the school before checking the voicemail message.

Gala is around the corner. If you have not yet received your gala tickets please do so as soon as possible. We need to plan for the number of people. The proceeds of this biggest fundraiser of the year go to supporting programs, field trips and materials for enhancing your children’s instruction. Please consider joining us if you have not already. It is not only fundraising, but friendship and community that make this a special evening. We need your participation!

Finally, thank you to all who made our first annual Father/Daughter dance such a wonderful success: Mrs. Sloma-Williams for organizing the event and her team of worker bees, and Mr. An Cao for being a wonderful DJ. It was a great evening!
