Updates December 6

Dear Parents:

A big “thank you” to all those who volunteered for the Three Kings Shop this week. The students had a lot of fun shopping in a wonderful atmosphere. A special thank to Mary Helou for her leadership – and endless energy!

Last night I attended the recording of the Christmas Day Mass in the Crypt Chapel of the Basilica. Our choir joined with the choir from St. Andrew School to sing at this special Mass. I cannot tell you how proud I was to witness the beautiful faith demonstrated in their singing. Here are a few pictures captured:

Speaking of talent, please join us for our annual Christmas concert next Wednesday at 6:30 pm. Bring friends and family to this wonderful celebration.

Tomorrow we will attend Mass in honor of our patron, St. Ambrose. Being First Friday we will also stay for the beginning of Eucharistic Adoration. Then we will enjoy a honey-dipped doughnut for snack! If your child has PE tomorrow, they should wear their regular uniform to school. Older students may bring PE clothes to change into after Mass.

Each week of Advent we begin with a prayer service, representing a theme and ending each day with a prayer. The theme for this week is HOPE. I HOPE that you are finding peace in this wonderful season and can take some time to enjoy the spiritual gifts.

God bless.
