Updates – May 23

Dear Parents,

We are very excited about field day tomorrow. It looks like it is going to be a beautiful day, so let’s pray that the field will be dry after the expected showers today! Just a reminder that students should be in PE shorts and PE tops or spirit-wear. They should also bring a water bottle, labeled with their name. Any adult who attends should be VIRTUS compliant. I have been asked about younger siblings: volunteers should not bring younger children so that they can focus on their assigned task. If you are planning on attending to watch and bring a younger child, please remember that they must stay with the parent at all times. This is for safety reasons. Let’s pray for a fun and safe day!

Our wonderful Leadership and Service Club are working on their last service project of the school year. Please see the Color Cycle flier.  We thank this club for their service throughout the school year, and Sra. Cummins for her mentorship.

Finally, in honor of Memorial Day we would like to recognize those in our community who have served in any of the Armed Forces. Beginning Tuesday, we will be collecting photos of family members who serve or have served, and we will mount these on presentation boards. Please send in any photos that you would like to share, with a name, and branch of military. As a round-up of the week, next Friday we will welcome Sasha Young to speak to our students. Ms. Young is a former Navy Pilot, who served aboard the USS Stennis (just like Fr. Hinkle!).

I hope to see many of you tomorrow. Remember, there is no Extended Day!

God bless,

Angela Rowley
