Updates and Reminders – April 8

Dear Parents:

Happy Easter to you all. We are looking forward to welcoming our students back tomorrow. This is a very special week for us as we welcome our Design for Excellence Visiting Team. They will spend the week reviewing all that we do. I will be talking to all of the students tomorrow morning regarding what they should expect.

Thank you to all who signed up to provide a meal or part of a meal for our team. We still have a few uncommitted slots. If you are willing and able to provide anything during the week please sign up at this link: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0F4FADA62EA4F58-dfemeals. We would also appreciate your prayers this week!

Reminder:  there will be NO EXTENDED DAY on Friday, as the entire staff will be meeting with the DFE team. Our normal routine will begin again next week! Enjoy the last day of Spring Break.

As the weather is still supposed to be on the cooler side this week, we will remain with winter uniforms. The switch to spring uniforms will be next week, April 16. This is timely as our used uniform sale will be next Sunday. We are grateful to Mrs. Julia Hecton for taking over the lead for this event, and to Mrs. Margaret Kelty for her leadership over the last few years. If you have uniforms to donate, or can help with set-up or clean-up please let the school office know and we will pass this on to Mrs. Hecton. Watch for a SignUp Genius coming soon!

The Knights of Columbus are running their bi-annual St. Lucy food drive this week. Each class will receive a blue bag, and we ask that you consider sending in some non-perishable food items. Thank you in advance.

Finally – and thankfully – it appears that winter is finally over! Even though we used all of our snow days, we are still well within our required instructional hours. To that end we are now able to end the school year on Friday, June 15, rather than Monday, June 18. Please note the last day of school and we will change it on our calendar.

I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!
