Vocations Mass

Dear Parents,

8th graders with Fr. Fisher, Mrs. Rowley, and Mrs. BroxYesterday I was privileged to accompany our 8th grade class to the annual Vocations Mass at Holy Spirit Church, celebrated by Bishop Burbidge. He was joined by many priests from the diocese, including Fr. Fisher!  The morning began with shared vocation stories from some of our diocesan clergy and sisters, followed by Mass, and then all of the 8th graders enjoyed a brown bag lunch in the school gymnasium and cafeteria. Each school was joined by a priest or sister for lunch. Lunch was followed by an ice-cream treat! It was a day of wonderful community among all of the 8th graders in the diocese.   Bishop Burbidge stopped by to say “hello!” Each 8th graders with Bishop Burbidgestudent was given a blessed medal of our diocesan patrons, St. Thomas More and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.

Just a reminder that next Monday, March 12, is a professional development day for our teachers. There will be no school for students.

Please join us on Fridays for the Stations of the Cross at 2:30 pm and on Wednesday, March 28 for the Living Stations at 2:15 pm.

God bless,

Angela Rowley
