Welcome Back!

Dear Parents:
We are delighted to welcome the students back for the last six weeks of the school year. How quickly the year has gone. It seems like yesterday that our brand new Kindergartners moved with trepidation through the hallways, and now they have grown into confident young students. Our 8th graders are preparing for high school, and I am so proud of the leaders that they have grown into. I am constantly reminded how lucky I am to belong to such a warm community!

Just a reminder that spring uniform has begun. We are in for a very warm spell, so please be sure that your children are dressed for that.

I am delighted to announce that Ms. Bridget McGinley will be joining us next year as the middle school Religion and Social Studies teacher. Ms. McGinley has a BA in Government and Philosophy, and is finishing up her M.Ed. in Secondary Social Studies. She is an active member of St. James Parish and is excited to share her faith with our students. She has been a regular substitute at Falls Church High School and Georgetown Visitation, and she will be substituting a couple of times here at St. Ambrose in the next month. In addition she is also a Pure Barre Instructor and has several years experience in office administration. Please join me in welcoming her.

I hope that you all enjoyed some relaxing time with family over Easter and I wish you continuing blessings in this Easter season.
