Dear Parents:

With Catholic Schools Week upon us I wanted to send out a reminder/clarification regarding our activities for next week:

St. Ambrose School – Catholic Schools Week 2017

Sunday: Open House

11:00 am – 1:00 pm.

Tuesday: Student Appreciation

No homework.

Dress down / spiritwear for students

Ice Cream at lunch.

Performance by Drama Club (parents welcome – see cast lists and times here: On with the Show cast list)

Wednesday: Teacher Appreciation

Luncheon by 8th grade

Dress Down for teachers

Thursday: Priest Appreciation

Students will make cards before Mass to leave in a basket in the vestibule for the priest.

After Mass, there will be a panel discussion assembly for the whole school on vocations. It will include seminarian Jeff Petroski, Fr. Hinkle, Fr. Fisher, and Fr. Hayes.

Friday: Family Appreciation

Blessing of the throats for the Feast of St. Blaise at 8:10 am in school gym (parents welcome).

A family member may come and eat lunch with the students. It could be a parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle. Lunch schedule:

• K-2  11:25-11:55 am
• 3-5  12 noon-12:20 pm
• 6-8  12:25-12:45 pm

Also, please know that donations made to our school are tax deductible.  Please use the attached form for any gift under $250 value (with the upcoming gala this is good for donated goods) Tax Receipt

Save the Date: We have set our Spring Concert date for Friday, June 2 beginning at 6:30 pm.  This will include Band, Strings, Class Choral and Choir.  We will combine this with a display of art from our talented students, making this truly an Arts Festival!  Hope to see you all there!

Just a gentle reminder that when entering the parking lot for morning or afternoon carpool you should turn RIGHT after entering the parking lot and drive around in front of the parish center.  This helps to avoid potential back-ups on Woodburn Road.  Thank you for your attention to this.

Thank you to all the parents who attended this morning’s Principal’s Coffee.  It was great to have such a good turn-out and enjoy some socialization and conversation.  Let’s pray for a successful Open House and a great celebration for Catholic Schools  Week!  Have a great weekend.
