Reminders – October 30

Dear Parents:

Just a reminder that tomorrow, October 31, is a dress down day for a minimum donation of $1. This will go through Catholic Charities for the victims of Hurricane Michael. Students may wear traditional Halloween colors: black, orange, green and purple. No make-up, hair dye or costumes permitted. As 8th grade will be on a field trip they should wear their normal uniforms. However, so that they can participate in this fund-raiser they will have their own dress down day on November 6 (same criteria).

Also please remember to sign up for a parent-teacher conference. These will be held on November 12 and 13. Please sign up at the following link: https://stambroseschool.org/sign-up-for-parent-teacher-conferences-2/

Our gala fundraiser is ending soon! Get your order in as soon as possible. Don’t miss out! http://www.mixedbagdesigns.com/st-ambrose-school-annandale

faculty and staff in Mother Seton's classroomWe are still in need of volunteers for various activities. Please do not wait until the end of the year to fulfill your commitment. We need your help now! We had a glitch with the sign up, but all is fixed now. Please follow this link to  read volunteer descriptions and to sign up for your favorite job, before someone else gets it.

Ms. B holding tabletLast Friday the faculty and staff enjoyed a spiritual journey together as we visited the home of the first Catholic school founder, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, and we visited the first Catholic classroom! Ms. B also got to hold the original tablet!  Fr. Fisher celebrated Mass for us in the chapel where St. Elizabeth Ann Seton professed her first vows. We enjoyed the history, as well as the reaffirmation of our own vocations.

Please join us on Thursday for All Saints Day and the procession of our own 2nd grade saints. In the meantime, Happy Halloween (which originated in Ireland!!).
